These works are an exploration of texture, atmosphere, and connection — not simply what we see, but what we feel within a space.
Inspired by the ocean pools, shifting tides, sandstone pathways, and the raw beauty of the Australian landscape, each piece begins outdoors: walking coastal tracks, observing weathered surfaces, light on water, and the patterns carved into the land over time. Back in the studio, these impressions are transformed into richly layered abstract works filled with movement, depth, and memory.
I’m honoured to be exhibiting alongside Christophe at Art Garage, whose generous invitation to share this beautiful window space celebrates our shared love of expressive, textural abstraction.
I invite you to drive by, walk past, or explore the collection online and immerse yourself in the details, textures, and landscapes that inspired these works.
My practice explores the meeting point of land, light, and emotion.
Working with acrylics, inks, pastels, and mixed media, I build layered surfaces that capture texture, movement, and shifting moods.
Each piece evolves intuitively, balancing abstraction with a sense of the familiar inviting connection, sparking conversation, and bringing depth, character, and calm to a space.
In my latest gestural abstracts, I embrace openness and allow the materials to lead; the chemistry, paper, and weather each play a part.
These works are quiet collaborations with the elements, where unpredictable marks and textures echo the felt experience of the
landscape rather than simply depicting what is seen.
Spirit of the Bay
Looking north to Lion Island, it sits like the gatekeeper of Pittwater, soft ochres and blues suggest shifting land and memory. A quiet strength lingers in the spirit of the bay.
The right artwork doesn’t just fill a wall, it transforms how a space feels.
Can I help you?
Take a front-on photograph of your space and send it through with the wall dimensions and preferred artwork size.
If you already have a favourite piece in mind, send me the artwork image along with a photo of your space.
I can digitally place the artwork into your room at the correct scale and perspective to help you visualise it in your home or office.
Together we can find the right piece, size, and placement to suit your space beautifully.
Let’s explore together
Look closely and immerse yourself in the layers of texture, movement, tone, and colour hidden within each piece. Notice what draws you in, what memories or feelings surface, and how the work connects with you personally.
If a piece inspires you but you’re looking for different tones, colours, or a specific size for your space, I’d love to have a conversation.
Sometimes a piece is just the beginning of a conversation that leads to something created especially for your space..
When art truly connects with you, it becomes more than something you see — it becomes part of how a space feels.
Between the Earth & Sky
In Between Earth and Sky, layers of dark, earthen colour reveal quiet strength and hidden light.
It’s a place of stillness and movement that draws you into a world of mystery and depth. The textured surface speaks of rock and air, the meeting of elements grounding yet alive.
Within this space of solitude and strength, something stirs a quiet renewal, a beginning held within the landscape itself.
When choosing art, ask yourself:
-
Beautiful spaces are often designed around emotion, not just aesthetics. Choose artwork that brings the feeling you want to live with each day — calm, warmth, energy, or inspiration.
-
Trust the works you keep returning to.
-
Art has the power to soften, elevate, and transform a room.
-
The most meaningful pieces often create a personal connection. Art can become a reflection of memory, place, and connection.
More than decoration, original art brings soul, emotion, and presence into a space
